We have shipping notification from Bookeen. The Cybooks are scheduled to arrive on the 11th. We will be shipping on the 14th.
Welcome to the NAEB buyers' page.
Okay club buyers, this is NAEB's plan for all future orders and the reasons why we will be doing it this way.
First, we'll still be ordering 1000 Cybooks total, that hasn't changed.
What has changed is the way we'll go about doing it.
Here's what will happen.
You place your order and we put a hold on it for 30 days, credit wise, but we won't be charging your credit card until Bookeen ships the order to us.
We'll sync the orders we take to the shipments Bookeen receives so that they are in the same time frame.
What that means is that we'll be ordering the Cybook in batches, never less than 100 at a time, though by the cut-off date it may be possible for us to have more orders and to fill them.
If we don't ship in that time frame the hold is removed and the credit is returned to your charge account.
Were E-Ink screens in greater supply this wouldn't be necessary but for now this is what we have to do.
As to how well this works. Our first order from Bookeen went very well and was delivered worldwide (We're really pleased about that.) with only minor problems despite our rocky start.
In short, we can get your Cybook to you.
The news from Bookeen is that they expect to have a new shipment of readers on or about March 14, we will reserve 100 from that shipment and, after that, we will be putting reserves on every other shipment as it arrives ( For those of you who think this means that Bookeen is back ordered and that shipments will sell out quickly, yes you're right. ).
We'll keep everyone who signed up with us informed as the readers arrived so you can place you orders within the time frame.
